About Samatvam
A new Ayurvedic medical centre in Abu Dhabi, built on a simple idea: treatment should be prescribed by a doctor, explained in plain words and delivered without hurry.

What the name means
Samatvam is a Sanskrit word for evenness, equanimity, balance: a mind that stays steady whether things go well or badly.
We chose the word because it is also the aim of Ayurvedic medicine. Ayurveda describes health as samya, a balanced state of the body’s doshas, digestion, tissues and mind, and illness as a drift away from it. The doctor’s job is not to force a result but to help the body find its way back to its own middle. That takes time, honest conversation and care that is adjusted to the person in front of you.
Why Abu Dhabi, and why now
Ayurveda is recognised in the UAE as a system of Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicine. That recognition brings a responsibility: qualified doctors, proper records and clean, purpose-built premises rather than a spa menu.
The founder wanted a centre that took that responsibility seriously: one where the consultation is the most important appointment and where a course of Panchakarma can be carried out properly, with the time, steam and rest it needs. Murajeb Tower, on Hamdan Bin Mohammed Street in Al Danah, gave us a place people already know how to reach.
How we work
- A doctor first. Nobody is booked for a therapy without a consultation. The doctor may recommend fewer sessions than you expected, a different therapy, or simply changes to diet and routine.
- Plain language. You will know what each preparation is for, what a session involves and what to expect afterwards, before you agree to anything.
- Alongside your existing care. Ayurveda is used here to support wellbeing and the management of long-standing complaints. It is not offered as a replacement for a diagnosis or for treatment you are already receiving. Tell your doctor about all medicines you take.
- No promises. We do not use words like “cure” or “guaranteed”, and we do not publish testimonials or before-and-after pictures. Bodies differ, and so do results.
The centre
The centre is on the mezzanine floor of Murajeb Tower, on Hamdan Bin Mohammed Street in Al Danah. It has a reception, a doctor’s consultation room, wooden Ayurvedic steam cabinets, a dedicated Shirodhara set-up and separate male, female and wheelchair-accessible toilets.

Wooden cabinets for herbal steam (Swedana), used after oil therapies to help the body absorb and release.

A dedicated set-up for the slow, continuous pour of warm liquid across the forehead.

Step-free from the lifts, with separate male, female and wheelchair-accessible toilets and a reception to wait in comfort.
